Under general supervision, performs responsible technical work examining construction drawings, specifications, and calculations for the construction, alteration, or repair of residential buildings, commercial buildings, and auxiliary structures to ensure compliance with sound building principles, codes and regulations. Responds to inquiries by architects, engineers, contractors and other parties about building code interpretations. Prepares written reports related to plan review issues. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or similar discipline and four (4) years of experience in construction or project management, building construction design, and/or building plan review.
