(STAR)STAR's Financial and Human Resources Manager is responsible for STAR accounts, budgets, and expense reports for all grants, human resources compliance, and is a liaison for STAR with Foraker Shared Financial Services .Reports to: Executive DirectorKey Relationships: STAR Board of Directors, STAR staff and volunteers, and local communityJob Responsibilities & DutiesAct as liaison to the Foraker Group Shared Financial ServicesManage STAR financials, donations, and spendingPrepare financial reports for STAR staff and STAR grantorsManage all aspects of accounts payableAct as liaison for the STAR Board of DirectorsAct as liaison for United Nonprofits, including management of building needsSupervise the Administrative AssistantManage Human Resource needs, including hiring, payroll, safety, employee benefits, liability, workmen's compensation, and other policiesAct as the primary Office and Information Technology (IT) Manager within the organizationEnsure that STAR is current regarding Federal, State, and local filings and regulationsMaintain office equipment and suppliesProvide support and assistance to the STAR programsAssist in carrying out the goals and objectives of STAR and assist in maintaining liaison relationships with the Anchorage support communityAttend agency meetings as scheduled and requiredMaintain accurate records and submit reports in a timely mannerRepresent STAR in a professional and courteous mannerStay current on issues relating to sexual assaultMaintain contacts of a confidential nature throughout the agency and outside the agencyMay be required to use independent judgment in interpreting agency rules and policiesOther related duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesUnderstand the principles of accounting and financial managementAbility to type 45 wpmMust be able to manage multiple tasksMust be organized and detail-orientedMust be able to work with team-based decision-making processes, and have the ability to identify and problem solveMust possess the ability to work with culturally diverse clients and staffMust possess excellent written and oral communication skillsPreferred ExperienceFour years' office management and/or financial management experienceExperience with QuickBooks OnlineAdditional RequirementsMust be able to work independently and be self-directedMust have a valid Alaska driver's license and an insured vehicleAttend a 40-hour crisis line training within 6 months of hireMust be able to be on call as Administrative Backup on a rotating scheduleSTAR Employee BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance are available to all regular employees through Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield for a small monthly fee.STAR offers a 403(b) retirement program with a 3% employer match and immediate vesting, plus a minimum of three weeks paid leave in the first year of employment and 11 paid holidays.STAR offers short-term disability and access to other forms of insurance coverage.STAR offers a vibrant office environment, and employees frequently bring their pets to work.
