PROJECT MANAGER

The Project Manager for the Alaska Energy Authority's Rural Programs will manage the planning, design, and construction of rural power systems, including diesel power plants, bulk fuel tank farms, renewable energy systems, and power distribution systems. The role includes providing technical assistance and training to rural Alaska communities to support the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of these systems.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction, operations, and/or maintenance of power and/or bulk fuel systems is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience managing rural Alaska projects. A Registered Professional Engineer license in the State of Alaska is preferred.

This position is exempt and not in the classified service. Exempt employees are excluded from Title 39, Chapter 25, of the State Personnel Act and related personnel rules.
