Job DescriptionThrough its merger with Oil Search, Santos has acquired and assumed operatorship over a world-class portfolio of oil leases on the Alaskan North Slope, USA.Our focus in Alaska is the advancement of our Pikka Phase 1 project, which includes a single drill site, an oil processing facility, and supporting infrastructure to produce 80,000 barrels of oil per day.Pikka has been recognized as one of the top quartile in oil and gas development projects for greenhouse gas emissions performance. It is a key component of our energy transition strategy and aligns with our goal of managing climate change risk.The Pikka Unit is among the largest conventional oil discoveries in the US in the last 30 years, with the Phase 1 project being the most significant development on Alaska's North Slope in over two decades.The permitted development includes two additional drill sites. Our Alaska assets also include discoveries from the Mitquq and Stirrup exploration wells drilled in 2020. These opportunities present a clear path for long-term growth in the region.Responsibilities Lead or participate in formal process safety reviews, and implement and steward Process Safety Management (PSM) systems.Ensure effective delivery of Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and Management of Change (MOC) processes.Promote a culture of process safety among project and operations personnel, exceeding regulatory expectations.Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, or related discipline.Professional Engineering or Chartered status.Experience and Requirements Minimum of 5+ years in upstream oil and gas, preferably with North Slope or similar remote operations experience.Experience implementing OSHA PSM programs, facilitating PHAs, and delivering safety-critical documentation.Deep understanding of process safety tools and techniques (PHA, LOPA, MOC, PSSR, bowtie analysis).Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., API RP 750, CCPS Guidelines).Proficiency with risk assessment methodologies and process safety metrics.Strong influencing and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a dynamic team environment.Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused attitude.#J-18808-Ljbffr
