About Yukon Equipment Inc.

Yukon Equipment specializes in sales of new and used construction equipment, repairs, rentals, parts, and service. We provide everything you need for backhoes, excavators, skid steers, wheel loaders, bulldozers, and more.

What does the role involve?

As a Field Service Technician, you will perform onsite diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various heavy equipment in Anchorage, AK. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, independence, and a willingness to travel to remote locations as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as trucks, excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and more.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Fabricating and installing replacement parts and equipment.
  • Performing routine maintenance checks and servicing.
  • Maintaining service logs and records.
  • Providing training and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years of experience working on heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles per company policy.
  • Ability to pass background and drug tests.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Vocational or college degree in Industrial/Construction Equipment.
  • Class A CDL and DOT physical.

Work environment:

Work is often loud with exposure to chemical fumes, weather conditions, and hazardous environments. Safety protocols must be followed at all times.
