Hotel Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Hotel Management, with 4+ years of luxury hotel sales experience
• Proven ability to identify prospects, conduct research, and close deals with strong negotiation skills
• In-depth understanding of the hotel & travel industry, with solid grasp of market dynamics
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative communication style
• Detail oriented and strategically minded, with a talent for nurturing long-term business partnerships

Hotel Sales Manager Preferred Background & Skills

• Collaborate with hotel leadership to identify key business needs and execute targeted sales strategies across group, catering, and transient segments—including corporate events, weddings, and group stays.
• Oversee a portfolio of assigned accounts, develop top clients through customized Account Development Plans, and maximize production from existing relationships.
• Identify new business opportunities, research industry trends and target companies for strategic outreach.
• Handle inquiries, pricing, proposals, and contracts efficiently; manage all stages of the sales process from RFP to final contract and event planning, ensuring timely follow-ups and high conversion rates.
• Prepare and distribute BEOs, coordinate internal communication, and maintain accurate client records and booking activities to ensure seamless execution.
