Title: Commissioning Lead – Oil & Gas Facility (North Slope, AK)

Location: North Slope, Alaska

Reports to: Commissioning Engineer

Rotation: Full-Time / Rotation-Based (e.g., 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off)

Pay Rate: $70 – $75 Hourly

Role Overview

We seek a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Commissioning Lead to support commissioning at an oil and gas facility on the North Slope of Alaska. You will assist the Commissioning Engineer and lead smaller teams to ensure safe and efficient testing and commissioning of systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in commissioning activities: Support execution of commissioning tasks for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  2. System and equipment testing: Participate in testing and startup, ensuring compliance with standards.
  3. Documentation: Prepare and maintain commissioning documents, procedures, and records.
  4. Safety compliance: Follow safety procedures and report issues.
  5. Coordinate team members: Assist in coordinating technicians and subcontractors.
  6. Track progress: Report on commissioning schedule and status.
  7. Troubleshooting: Support resolution of issues during commissioning.
  8. Client communication: Provide updates on progress and challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years in commissioning or related field, preferably in oil and gas; experience in remote environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas systems, commissioning procedures, and safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong communication skills.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Work in remote, harsh Arctic conditions.
  • Schedule: Rotational (e.g., 21 days on/21 days off), 12-hour shifts.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
  • Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
