Sr Construction Representative (Notional Opportunity)

Description:

Acuity International is seeking qualified Senior Construction Representatives to provide Construction Management Services (CMS) for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at various locations across the United States.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Review inspection efforts through on-site visits and report reviews.
  2. Ensure contractor compliance with work schedules, plans, specifications, and workmanship standards.
  3. Inspect materials, installation, and testing of completed work; collaborate with contractors to address deficiencies and suggest construction methods.
  4. Review contractor daily quality control reports for proper documentation and compliance.
  5. Perform surveillance to verify adherence to the USACE 3-phase quality control system and provide daily quality assurance inspections.
  6. Verify ongoing work activities meet contract requirements.
  7. Attend quality assurance inspections and provide timely feedback via the USACE Resident Management System.
  8. Monitor deficiency tracking procedures and maintain records of field problems and RFIs.
  9. Occasionally attend shop inspections for offsite fabricated items to verify compliance before shipment; these are day trips with no overnight travel.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of construction representative experience.
  • 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Construction management certification preferred.
  • Experience interpreting plans, specifications, and reviewing as-built drawings preferred.
  • Experience with field inspections and reviewing contractor reports preferred.
  • Knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Experience evaluating construction claims preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows, online calendars, cloud systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Customer-focused and team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately.
  • Satisfactory background check and ability to obtain a DoD CAC.
  • US Citizenship required.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  • Work primarily in an office environment.
  • Site visits to construction locations may be required.
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods.
  • Good eye/hand coordination necessary.
