Location: Anchorage, AK - Onsite

We are looking for an energetic and reliable person to complement our team that is willing to work to get the job done and that can help a dynamic and growing business. The ability to implement and hold others accountable to process. and procedure is a key dynamic we are looking for. The owner is also a real estate developer and has several rentals where books are kept separate. You will be joining a cheerful office of about 10 with 4 others in admin, payroll, HR and support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, management reports, and analyses to support decision-making processes.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of audit schedules.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets, financial projections, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clean Background and great references
