The Patient Concierge, Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for patients and family members at Fairbanks Urology. This position is responsible for greeting patients, confirming demographic and insurance information, answering phones, provider scheduling, as well as other duties as assigned. Customer service skills and attention to detail are important to this role's success. Responsibilities. Greet patients and families. Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files. Schedule patient appointments. Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments. Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information. Obtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinations.
