We are pleased to announce that CCPRS has secured a 5-year contract for the Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contract V (PA TAC V) in the West zones, including states such as Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, California, Arizona, and others. Through CCPRS, SOL Engineering Services, LLC seeks a Senior-Level Soil/Geotechnical Licensed Engineer with FEMA PA project experience to support disaster response and recovery efforts nationwide.

Position Overview: The role involves providing technical geotechnical expertise, conducting site assessments, and supporting FEMA disaster projects. The engineer will collaborate with FEMA, local agencies, and internal teams to meet project goals and ensure compliance with FEMA standards. Candidates with FEMA experience and the ability to deploy are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead geotechnical assessments, including soil stability and slope stability analyses.
  2. Perform site investigations, soil sampling, and field testing.
  3. Develop technical reports and analyses aligned with FEMA standards.
  4. Recommend soil stabilization and erosion control measures.
  5. Engage with FEMA and stakeholders for mitigation planning.
  6. Assess damages and provide technical guidance for recovery projects.
  7. Mentor junior staff to ensure quality deliverables.
  8. Ensure compliance with FEMA and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, Soil Mechanics, or related field.
  • PE license with 10+ years of geotechnical experience, or 15+ years with a bachelors degree.
  • FEMA PA project experience of at least 1 year at regional, state, or local levels.
  • Proficiency in soil mechanics software (GeoStudio, PLAXIS), GIS.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Floodplain Manager (CFM).
  • Experience with environmental assessments and FEMA grant management software.
