We're seeking a skilled facilities maintenance professional for our Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, near Denali National Park. You will be responsible for maintaining the property's facilities, ensuring cleanliness and operational efficiency, and supporting multiple departments to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and staff.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in managing hotel maintenance activities, operations, and staff. Responsible for employment, supervision, performance management, and training of personnel.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, structures, and grounds.
  • Monitor operation of facility equipment, update logs, and document information.
  • Apply knowledge of systems, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and contribute to a positive employee environment.
  • Support safety protocols and uphold cleanliness and organization standards.
  • Analyze and prepare management reports and assist with the departmental budget.
  • Maintain knowledge of materials, systems, codes, and safety standards related to facilities maintenance.
  • Train others on tools and equipment, plan work, and maintain records in compliance with regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will be Required :

  • Relevant knowledge in facilities maintenance management, preferably with some college or an associate degree. Equivalent work experience considered.
  • At least three years of responsible experience in hotel or facilities maintenance. Certifications in carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC are preferred.
  • Preferred licenses include stationary boiler's license, OIT, and wastewater certifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs./23 kg and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Forklift certification within six months of employment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record for the past three years and ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and pass a background check.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance systems, recordkeeping, and communication tools.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying climates and machinery.
  • Dexterity for operating equipment, and physical ability to perform duties including bending, climbing, and reaching.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work outside normal hours, including weekends, as needed.
  • Participation in sustainability and safety programs.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
