Maintain assigned ship in a state of readiness at all times, including all engineering, deck, life safety, and hotel systems. Oversee all fuel, oil, and potable water bunkering operations. Directly supervise others as assigned. Interact with passengers daily in a professional and hospitable manner. Chief Engineer Requirements. At least TWO years of experience as an Engineer aboard a passenger vessel of at least 25 tons is REQUIRED. Maritime Engineering School Graduate in good standing and/or a Designated Duty Engineer certification or equivalent, is REQUIRED.
