Senior Financial Analyst

Description:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for leading the financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting processes. The person in this position provides the management team with the analysis and information they need to make operational, financial, and strategic decisions and drives continuous improvement in processes and practices.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess the company's performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  2. Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  3. Utilize financial software and tools to collect and interpret data for decision-making purposes.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow, including managing cash positions and forecasting cash requirements.
  5. Monitor and mitigate foreign exchange risk by implementing hedging strategies to protect against currency fluctuations.
  6. Prepare board presentations, internal company meetings, and ad hoc financial reports.
  7. Apply an analytical approach to evaluate and review ROI for capital expenditures (pre- & post-investment).
  8. Assist with Mergers and Acquisitions from due diligence to integration.
  9. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to use reasoning and logic to identify alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills with proven experience in building Excel models and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience with SQL and Power BI.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is a plus.
  • Experience with Budget and Planning software (BPC) is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Strong problem-solving, process management, and time management skills.

Education / Experience

Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance or equivalent experience; MBA is a plus; ten or more (10+) years of related finance experience, particularly in a Corporate FP&A function.

Physical Requirements

Ability to operate office equipment such as a copier; ability to see details at a close range; ability to sit at a desk or PC for long periods; work in an office setting.
