We're seeking a skilled facilities maintenance professional for our Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, near Denali National Park and Preserve. You will be responsible for maintaining the property's facilities, ensuring they are clean and operational. Your role involves supporting multiple departments and the Maintenance Manager to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and staff.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in managing maintenance activities, operations, and staff, including employment, supervision, performance management, and training.
  • Oversee and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, structures, and grounds.
  • Monitor operation of facility equipment, update logs, and document activities.
  • Apply knowledge of equipment, systems, and safety standards to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Promote a positive work environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Support safety protocols and uphold cleanliness and organization standards.
  • Prepare reports for management and assist with departmental budgeting.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of materials, systems, and code requirements related to facilities maintenance.
  • Train others on tools and equipment, plan work, and maintain records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will be Required :

  • Relevant knowledge in facilities maintenance management, ideally with some college education or an associate degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least three years of progressive experience in hotel or facilities maintenance; certifications in carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC are preferred.
  • Licenses such as OIT, wastewater, or stationary boiler's license are preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Forklift certification within six months of hire.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and pass a background check.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with computer applications and maintenance systems.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather or hazardous conditions.
  • Dexterity for operating tools and equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform job tasks, including bending, climbing, and reaching.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours, including weekends.
  • Participation in sustainability and safety programs.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
