Role Summary

The Director, Client Acquisition is responsible for revenue growth through new target accounts, building long-term client relationships, contributing to P&L, and promoting strategic initiatives that align ENGIE Impact and other ENGIE solutions with client needs. This role leads a sales team responsible for revenue growth via sustainability and resource solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build, coach, and lead a high-performing sales team focused on sales quotas and accountability.
  • Understand and communicate ENGIE Impact's capabilities and portfolio value.
  • Attract, hire, retain top talent, and manage team performance.
  • Set strategy and execution plans for revenue development, leveraging internal collaborations.
  • Develop detailed 12-month sales plans and individual team member plans.
  • Report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Forecast key metrics and manage team performance.
  • Participate in compensation planning and strategy alignment.
  • Develop account penetration strategies and nurture client relationships, including C-suite.
  • Lead contract negotiations and develop account growth strategies.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews and collaborate across teams.
  • Establish new business opportunities and increase client contact levels.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and contribute to product roadmap inputs.

First Six Months

  • Learn the business, develop understanding of client experience and industry.
  • Implement foundational operating rhythm and metrics.
  • Build relationships with leadership and identify quick wins.

Long-Term Goals

  • Develop value creation strategies, lead execution of territory and reselling strategies.
  • Re-evaluate selling plans to meet or exceed revenue goals.

Leadership Expectations

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions.
  • Guide technology requirements and leverage data for process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Business Management or related field.
  • 15+ years of sales experience with multimillion-dollar portfolios.
  • 7+ years in energy/sustainability services or related fields.
  • Proven success in meeting sales targets and solution selling.
  • Experience in specific customer segments and resource services.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strategic business development and operational leadership.
  • Results-oriented with strong data analysis skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Additional Information

Work schedules vary, with possible travel up to 50%. The role requires physical activities such as sitting, standing, lifting up to 15 pounds, and effective communication.
