KPMG is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a portfolio of clients of various sizes and scopes, acting as the main point of contact for internal and external clients.
  2. Direct teams of tax professionals/assistants on client projects.
  3. Understand and analyze U.S. GAAP rules affecting taxpayers.
  4. Help manage engagement risks and financial performance, including billing, collections, and budgeting.
  5. Advise clients and deliver high-quality tax services and advice.
  6. Assess tax impacts, develop supporting tax arguments, and suggest plans to clients.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:

  1. Participate in and contribute to external market and business activities while providing leadership and managerial oversight.
  2. Serve as a coach and mentor to other tax professionals.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience in financial services supporting alternative investments; prior experience as a tax manager in a public accounting firm.
  2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; CPA, JD/LLM, or EA license; candidates without an approved credential have one year from hire to obtain one.
  3. Proficiency in taxation of corporations, partnerships, and flow-through entities.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:

  1. Minimum eight years of experience as a tax senior manager supporting alternative investments.
  2. Experience reviewing 1120 RIC, 1065 tax returns, including Schedule K-1, and managing multiple client engagements.
