Produce Category Operations Manager - Anchorage

Role Overview

Support and execute the implementation of US Foods' produce category strategy across the designated Area. This includes recommending assortment changes, fostering positive vendor relationships, collaborating with sales and customer support teams, and managing produce goals for all markets within the Area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Implement and customize the produce category and operational strategies for multiple Distribution Centers, ensuring alignment with overall US Foods goals.
2. Review product assortments, identify growth opportunities, and manage profitable sales growth within the assigned categories.
3. Gather market data, report new product opportunities, and coordinate assortment finalization and communication with sales teams.
4. Facilitate product training, support new product introductions, and ensure alignment with US Foods' messaging and strategy.
5. Support FSQA inquiries, assist with account bids, and coordinate customer onboarding.
6. Work with logistics and inventory teams to maintain quality, delivery, and service levels, and resolve inbound product issues.

Supervision

Supervise Area and Market Quality Assurance Coordinators and Supervisors.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of category management experience; food service or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Compensation

Base salary ranges from $65,000 to $100,000, depending on experience and location.
