Job Description

This role requires daily travel within the Anchorage area, including the airport.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities

  • Meet daily service repair needs and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Install, repair, and maintain equipment; provide customer training as needed
  • Document inspections, maintenance, and repairs; submit paperwork promptly
  • Order, install, and manage parts cycle time
  • Review logs for issues and prepare reports for customers
  • Participate in service sales opportunities and promote revenue programs
  • Maintain tools and test equipment
  • Assess product performance and recommend improvements
  • Provide technical support to customers and service professionals
  • Participate in site surveys, pilot programs, and meetings
  • Possess basic knowledge of Trace and X-Ray technologies
  • Maintain clear communication, both oral and written
  • Build relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers
  • Control and minimize costs
  • Travel, overtime, and non-Monday-Friday work may be required
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Adhere to U.S. export control and security regulations
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Education/Training: Associate's Degree or related trade certification in electrical, electronic, mechanical fields, or military training; 1-3 years related work experience acceptable. Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office and specialized software.

Experience: 1-3 years troubleshooting and field repair of electrical/electronic systems.

Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communication, customer focus, teamwork, and responsiveness. Willingness to travel on short notice.

Supervision: May supervise others on a project basis.

Background: Requires Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and TSA vetting, including passing a federal background check.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service skills and stress management
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Lift up to 80 lbs, push/pull 200 lbs, manipulate equipment weighing up to 1000 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work safely in extreme environments

Work Environment

Primarily at customer locations such as airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, cruise ships, etc. May require SSI access and U.S. security clearance.
