ESS is looking for a Project Manager for our Alaska Railroad Contract!
A Project Manager manages all physical and financial aspects of the Alaska Railroad Food Service Project.

Supervisory Responsibilities
At any one time, manages 4-6 supervisors who supervise up to 20 employees providing food and facility service. Directly supervises 3-4 non-supervisory associates. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Education and/or Experience
Ten years of food service experience in a restaurant or banquet setting, with 5 years supervisory experience, or similar experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, interpret documents, write routine reports/orders, and speak effectively before customers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic calculations such as discounts.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Other Qualifications
Occasional rail car rides requiring 16 hours of continuous work. Off-season oversight of other ESS projects may be required.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, handle, reach, balance, talk, hear, taste, and smell. Frequently required to stoop and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, peripheral, and depth perception.
Reasoning Ability
Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Work Environment
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, heat, motion, chemicals. Moderately loud noise level. Reasonable accommodations can be made for disabilities.
