Business Development Director – US Defense Sector

Position Requirements

• Defense Sector Experience and a DoD Security Clearance is required.
• Seeks a seasoned Business Development Director specializing in the U.S. Defense Sector.
• Based in the U.S., focusing on expanding Ericsson's presence in North America.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage strategic programs to drive market development in the US Defense sector.
• Lead initiatives to advance mobile communications innovation within the defense industry.
• Engage with senior industry executives to position Ericsson as a leader in MCN innovation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff in defense business development.
• Track and document market development initiatives for results and accountability.

Minimum Requirements

• Deep understanding of the critical communications market, including regulations and ecosystem.
• Experience with government procurement processes in defense communications.
• Knowledge of operational requirements and technology implementation in defense communications.
• Proven ability to develop long-term business models and manage lifecycle costs.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's in engineering or similar with a solid understanding of mobile communications.
• At least 10 years of experience in US Defense sector business development or related roles.
• Entrepreneurial, resilient, customer-focused, and analytical.
• Experience working in diverse, multinational environments.
• Strategic vision aligned with Ericsson's goals and industry standards.
