Interactive Member Service Representatives act as the credit union's personal representative with members by building strong relationships. They enhance the member's experience by providing exceptional professional and consistent service using the Interactive Teller video system. They support and demonstrate high member service standards, maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, and are willing to work flexible shifts to meet the credit union's extended operating hours.

Job Details

This position is located on the 2nd floor of our DeBarr Branch (4020 DeBarr Rd.) and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Essential Job Functions

  • Serve members courteously and efficiently, handling all teller functions promptly.
  • Answer member questions, maintain excellent relations, and direct complex inquiries to appropriate staff.
  • Work independently with effective problem-solving skills, making on-the-spot decisions within security and operating procedures.
  • Resolve complex inquiries regarding policies and procedures, referring difficult issues as needed.
  • Multi-task across multiple software programs while communicating with members.
  • Actively seek cross-selling opportunities and make referrals to other departments.
  • Follow up on member inquiries to promote comprehensive financial relationships.
  • Stay updated on products, services, promotions, policies, and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed personal referral goals and contribute to departmental objectives.
  • Perform end-of-day balancing and adhere to security, audit, and compliance standards.
  • Communicate member comments, issues, and requests effectively.
  • Demonstrate the proper use of interactive kiosks, handle objections, and promote technology benefits.
  • Represent CU1LUV in all interactions and work closely with supervisors to improve skills.
  • A professional appearance is required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive attitude aligned with Credit Union 1's mission and values.
  • Adhere to dress code policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior teller, customer service, or sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills suitable for video/electronic face-to-face interactions.
  • Comfortable on camera, as members will see the representative via video transmission.
  • Ability to multi-task with 2-3 software programs simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM and proficiency with a 10-key calculator.
  • Compliance with BSA/AML and OFAC policies.

Applicants must meet minimum requirements. This position is open until filled.

Please note: No relocation assistance is provided. Candidates must relocate to Alaska at their own expense prior to start date.
