Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Alaska initial, professional, or master teaching certificate.
• Evidence of content knowledge through one of the following:
• A posted degree or minor in the content area, or
• Passing Praxis Subject Assessments scores, or
• A certificate endorsement in the content area.

Job Summary:

Classroom teachers create a supportive learning environment, provide instruction appropriate to grade level, and establish rapport with students, parents, and staff. They motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge, report to and are evaluated by the site principal.

• Salary ranges from $56,823 to $100,155 DOE, based on the AEA negotiated pay scale.
