Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per P&P 40-40.

This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the AMEA.

To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage cannot provide sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas.
Under general supervision, the Transit Security Contract Coordinator maintains the Transit Operations security program. Responsibilities include administering major contracts and operations, planning and developing program enhancements, supporting and implementing policy updates, ensuring record keeping and reporting compliance, and contract compliance with federal, state, and municipal policies. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with 7 years of related experience, or an associate's degree with 5 years, or a bachelor's degree with 3 years of related experience. Employment is contingent on a satisfactory background check including criminal, education, and employment history.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid State of Alaska Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
Preference given to AMEA employees. Successful AMEA applicants will be considered before non-AMEA candidates.
