Cook Inlet Region, Inc is seeking a Corporate Services Specialist to join our Corporate Services team. This position is based in Anchorage, AK.

Cook Inlet Region, Inc., also known as CIRI, is one of 12 land-based Alaska Native regional corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). CIRI's regional boundaries roughly follow the traditional Dena'ina territory of Southcentral Alaska. General Function

In alignment with CIRI's mission and values, the Corporate Services Specialist is responsible for providing enterprise-wide business function expertise and support for corporate services, community engagement, corporate event logistics and special projects.

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)

  1. Provide high-level administrative support to the Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs.
  2. Assist in all stages of event planning and execution, including developing proposals, budgets, timelines, negotiating vendor contracts, securing vendors, managing expenses, arranging transportation and accommodations, providing on-site support, conducting post-event evaluations, developing contingency plans, and ensuring safety standards.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to maintain alignment with event goals.
  4. Stay current with trends to bring innovative ideas to company events.
  5. Support the Corporate Services team with client support at the Fireweed Conference Center and other departmental events.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Understanding of CIRI's mission, vision, and strategic focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Intermediate project management knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Familiarity with Anchorage and CIRI region.
  • Ability to handle changes and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard software.
  • Professional appearance and confidentiality sensitivity.

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, crawl, bend, reach, push, pull, carry, lift, and operate equipment as required.
  • Visual and communication ability adequate for job functions.
  • Operate a motor vehicle safely.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three+ years' experience in related fields.
  • Some college coursework preferred.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid Alaska driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain ServeSafe certification within 30 days.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
