In the role of Water Resources Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing project engineering and task management, conducting hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, stormwater system design, data analysis, and leading the preparation of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for hydraulic structures.
  • Working independently and assisting in planning, organizing, and leading medium to large teams of professionals and technicians.
  • Conducting water resources planning, developing planning documentation, and assisting in permitting efforts.
  • Performing additional duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in water resources engineering projects.
  • Experience with HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GEO-RAS, and storm drain system analysis.
  • Experience with fish passage design and construction oversight.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service design requirements for fish passage projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alaska or eligibility to obtain reciprocity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience in water resources engineering projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Excellent communication skills.
