Opportunity

HDR has an exceptional opportunity for an Environmental Permitter in our Alaska Area Resources Business Group.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support environmental permit applications and modifications, including managing and reviewing technical work products such as environmental documents and studies.
  • Establish permitting matrices, schedules, and task sequences; coordinate workload and deadlines with project teams; and implement quality assurance and control procedures.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and experts to advise on permitting strategies and timelines.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to high-quality standards and work cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and leadership. This is a full-time role based in Anchorage, Alaska, with potential permitting support in client offices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or certification
  • 2-5 years of environmental permitting experience in Alaska
  • Local hire preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field
  • Knowledge of wetland delineation, field investigation, and agency coordination
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • A proactive attitude aligned with our employee-owned culture
