DESCRIPTION
The Transportation Planner is responsible for assisting in the preparation of various transportation plans and studies, conducting research and data analysis, organizing public meetings, and coordinating with agencies and stakeholders. Key skills include a strong work ethic, organizational and communication abilities, and a work or educational background in planning, environmental science, or communications. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys working in a team environment, but who is also capable of working independently on analysis, research and writing or creative assignments. Your work will directly contribute to creating safer, more efficient, and sustainable transportation solutions in communities across Alaska.
This position will be focused on Alaska business and clients but will have opportunities to work on projects with our other offices throughout the US. The successful candidate may work in either our Fairbanks or Anchorage offices, or remotely from another location in Alaska. COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 - $95,000.00. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
