As the Employee Development Manager, you will work onsite in Anchorage, AK and will take a critical step in our journey toward becoming the "Best Place to Work." In this role, you will play a key part in driving business success across our organization, directly contributing to the prosperity of our Calista shareholders. You will report to the VP Administration and will be responsible for developing a learning culture that builds a robust leadership pipeline to support our expansion and succession planning.
How will you do it?
STRATEGIST:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with Calista Brice's growth objectives.
- Lead the design and delivery of training programs focused on soft skills, leadership development, and emerging skills for the future of work.
- Collaborate with external training resources to integrate best practices and innovative learning methodologies.
- Conduct skills gap analyses to identify current capabilities versus future needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback.
- Develop a leadership competency framework to identify critical skills and experiences for future executive positions.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and develop standardized succession planning tools to create comprehensive planning programs to support and sustain business continuity.
- Develop and administer Calista Shareholder workforce development programs.
INNOVATOR:
- Drive innovation in learning and development by leveraging technology and new learning modalities.
- Implement e-learning platforms and digital tools to provide accessible and flexible learning opportunities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve training offerings.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Create a centralized knowledge repository and career pathway planning tools accessible to all employees.
- Create and connect programs for all avenues of employee development including internships, apprenticeships, and career development spanning all sectors of the workforce lifecycle which includes collaborating with the corporate workforce development department.
LEADER:
- Champion a learning culture that encourages professional growth and development.
- Partner with business unit and subsidiary leaders to identify skill gaps and develop tailored training solutions.
- Mentor and coach employees and promote the mentorship program to enhance their leadership capabilities and career progression.
- Enhance risk management strategies by creating a culture of resilience and cross-training employees.
- Create management reporting to track and identify employee development objectives.
- Spearhead Workday optimization projects related to employee development functionality leveraging current platform capabilities.
- Identify new outreach opportunities to increase qualified and interested candidates for employment and create programs to support efforts tracking successful progress metrics.
- Plan and lead annual established Calista Shareholder and AK Native hire initiatives including the Calista Internship, AK EXCEL, and Holding Line specialty programs.
COLLABORATOR:
- Work closely with Human Resources and senior leadership to align learning initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Design and implement leadership development programs to build a pipeline of future leaders.
- Facilitate workshops and seminars that promote team building and effective communication.
- Collaborate with HR to integrate learning and development into performance management and talent planning processes.
- Identify potential leaders within the organization and implement a training program focused on emerging skills.
- Establish partnerships with educational institutions for leadership development programs.
- Assist with ad hoc training needs including coordinating travel and logistics for employees to complete training.
- Coordinate oversight and delivery of both required regulatory employee training as well as elective training options including education reimbursement program, apprenticeships, and other workforce development initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has shared responsibility for supervision of workforce development staff activities.

Who is Calista Brice LLC looking for?
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Psychology or related field required.
- Five (5) or more years' experience in Learning and Employee Career Development with at least two years in a managerial role required.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems.
- Experience with project management and ability to collaborate with others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid state driver's license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Calista Brice's Driving Policy required.
- Ability to pass drug, driving, credit and background screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction or engineering industries is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in a multi-subsidiary or holding company environment preferred.
- Previous experience working in Workday, Spectrum, Deltek, and/or Costpoint preferred.
- Current certification in CPTM, APTD, SPHR and/or PMP preferred.
