Job Details

The Anchorage Accounting Associate will support the efficient operation of the company by assisting with a wide range of administrative and accounting functions for the Alaska, Pacific Northwest and Oregon region. In addition, the Accounting Associate will also provide financial analysis and support as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Pulling daily sales for our properties and reconciling revenue.
• Banking and credit card reconciliations.
• Analyzing and preparing daily labor reports.
• Assisting with coding and vendor inquiries.
• Making journal or ledger entries.
• Partnering with other staff members to compile, analyze, and report financial data.
• Assisting with audits and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Using bookkeeping software and entering information into company files or databases, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate.
• Assist in special projects and year end projects as requested.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting is desirable.
• Some college is preferred.
• Knowledge of any financial Software is preferred.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software.
