Competitive pay and annual compensation reviewsThe Director of Therapy Services supervises the Occupational and Physical Therapy staff who, under physician prescription, evaluate and treat patients of all ages. The Director is responsible for overall supervision, coordination and administration of the department activities. The Director is expected to follow clinic philosophy in administering department services and fulfilling community needs.Essential Functions
Acts as a liaison between Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Administration, Medical Staff, and the community representing the department at professional meetings.
Maintains a staff of sufficient number to effectively provide quality care for patients of all ages.
Provides opportunity for development and professional growth of staff.
Evaluates professional and non-professional services supplied by the department.
Coordinates Therapy Services with other specialties.
Maintains records and reports concerning department financial status. Prepares information for yearly budget.
Conducts annual staff performance evaluations.
Provides direct care to patients of all ages, as needed.
Is responsible for remaining current in therapy trends and new developments.
Promotes a safe and clean environment for staff and patients of all ages, through in-service education.
Conducts regular staff meetings.
Conducts marketing activities to promote referrals.
Apply the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Actively support the mission and advance OrthoAlaska Behaviors.

The Director of Therapy Services must be a graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy, with a Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree
Must be currently licensed in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy
Must have three to five years of clinical experience with at least one year of supervisory experiencePreferred (in addition to Required)
Previous experience in a management or leadership role within a healthcare organization is preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards related to rehabilitation services.
Strong understanding of healthcare finance and budgeting principles.
Certification in healthcare management is desirable, but not required.FLSA ClassificationExemptPosition Type & Expected Work HoursThis is a full-time position, with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or other approved hours between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Occasional extended work hours may be required as business needs demand.
