Compensation: $50,000-$85,000 DOE

A Typical Day:

Your day begins with reviewing attorney schedules and ensuring all necessary documents are prepared for upcoming meetings and court filings. You'll draft and proofread correspondence and legal pleadings, manage deadlines, and coordinate litigation filings across federal, tribal, and state courts. Throughout the day, you'll work with multiple attorneys and will handle administrative tasks like answering phones, managing calendars, filing trip reports, and organizing files, while collaborating with colleagues to support the smooth operation of the office. Each day is dynamic and offers opportunities to contribute meaningfully to impactful legal work.


Qualifications:

Litigation Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience as a legal assistant, including preparing legal pleadings and managing litigation filings in federal, tribal, and/or state courts.

Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Adobe, and familiarity with timekeeping and document management systems.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Communication Skills: Professional and courteous communication via phone, email, and in person, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.

Knowledge of Court Rules and Calendaring: Familiarity with court procedures, rules, and the ability to accurately calendar deadlines.

Administrative Expertise: Experience managing office tasks, including preparing expense reimbursements, setting up virtual meetings, and general office support.
