Job Title: Safety and Compliance Manager

Perm: 75-100k

Location: Anchorage , AK

Job Summary: They will provide operational and administrative support to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role involves assisting the Director of HSE and HSE Manager in applying safety policies, coordinating safety education and training, maintaining safety records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Travel: once a month in Alaska area

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide operational and administrative support services as needed.
• Assist in special projects and daily safety activities.
• Support the Director of HSE and HSE Manager in applying safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate service center safety education and training, including new hire orientations.
• Ensure compliance with corporate safety programs and training for employees.
• Maintain written safety procedures, records, and files.
• Track and record service center accident statistics and records, including on-job-injury incidents, vehicular accidents, cargo damage, and OSHA logs.
• Ensure compliance with the company's Fit for Work program and hiring policies, including background investigations and pre-employment drug testing.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations and maintain driver qualification files.
• Audit driver logs for compliance with DOT hours of service regulations.
• Assist in analyzing work requirements and conditions to propose safety improvements.
• Conduct monthly inspections of terminal facilities to identify and address potential hazards.
• Assist in compliance with Environmental BMP's and Storm Water audits.
• Record, trace, and enter information into the company computer system.
• Operate various business machines and maintain business transaction records.
• Answer telephones and provide information to callers.
• Maintain dependable and consistent attendance.
