Summary

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Operations Manager or designee, is primarily responsible for providing warehouse operations support, preparing, receiving, storing, and delivering supplies and equipment within the warehouse.

The pay range for this position is $31.09-$37.77/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

All Levels:

  • Loads and unloads supplies and equipment.
  • Locates and moves materials, equipment, and parts using a cart, hand truck, or other equipment between work areas of the project location/site to expedite the processing of goods according to pre-determined schedules, needs, and priorities.
  • General manual labor will include using hand tools and providing manual labor support for project activities.
  • Assists in receiving, unpacking, and checking incoming materials and equipment against invoices or bills of lading to verify items and quantities received.
  • Inspect materials and equipment.
  • Palletizes, tags, and moves material to designated locations.
  • Assists in the preparation of materials for shipment to field locations.
  • Keeps accurate records and prepares reports.
  • Keeps floors and storage areas clean and orderly.
  • Takes physical inventory of supplies and coordinates restocking orders under the direction of the Warehouse manager.
  • Requires the ability to properly wear, use, and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable.
  • Provide assistance to staff in the field/site location as requested.
  • Maintain a safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all tasks, activities, and operations. Monitor work area for hazards and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Clear and frequent communication with office and field staff and vendors.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.


Level - II:
  • Centralize and standardize inventory stock.
  • Small tool repair.
  • Basic fleet repairs (LD PM services and small cosmetic repairs).
  • Helps create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Warehouse policies.
  • Assists with training and supervision of other warehouse staff.


Minimum Qualifications

All Levels:
  • Inventory management experience
  • Forklift Certified
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, ability to operate company vehicles
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening


Level - II:
  • Associate degree or a technical certification such as an ASE A1 Certification or equivalent
  • Moderate computer skills, ability to work with computer programs and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Four (4) to seven (7) years of warehouse experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business
  • A9 LD Diesel Engines or ASE T2 HD Diesel Engine Repairs
  • Experience in the construction and/or environmental industry
  • CPR/1st Aid, OSHA, HAZWOPER training
  • Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures

Physical Demands

Frequent lifting, sitting, standing, stooping for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity, should have good hand-eye coordination and motion control in coordination with handling tools, equipment, and other related components.

Reaching with hands and arms for items above and below sight level, talking, hearing (frequently communicates with field personnel via various modes; must be able to relay accurate information), and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place within the project location with occasional use of stairs and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 12 hours. Frequent lifting of up to 50-75 pounds, such as small tools, equipment, and other materials. Work may involve using ladders and/or lifts.

Work Environment

Work areas may be indoors or outdoors, subject to confined spaces, changes in temperature, weather conditions, and noise levels. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, or as business needs dictate
