In accordance with Assets, Inc. core values and mission, this position contributes to the success of the contract by performing a variety of stocking and janitorial duties. PT 1-19 hrs/wk; Stocker $17.59/Janitor $17.20. Must be available Sunday 7:00pm - 4:00am and Monday-Saturday 8:00pm-4:00am

Summary

In accordance with Assets, Inc. core values and mission, this position contributes to the success of the contract by performing a variety of stocking and janitorial duties as outlined below:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Adheres to and demonstrates Assets, Inc. core values and mission in the performance of all aspects of this position.
  2. Provides direct labor in accordance with OSHA safety standards and as required by site management. Duties include, but are not limited to: moving merchandise using heavy equipment, stocking shelves and displays, rotating stock, repairing labels, cleaning shelves, fronting merchandise, operating a cardboard bailer and pallet jacks, emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, hard floor maintenance and spot cleaning, carpet cleaning as well as cleaning of meat market.
  3. Actively participates in company required meetings and trainings.
  4. Maintains a proactive relationship with customers and coworkers.
  5. Reviews and follows all policies set forth by Assets, Inc.
  6. Supports team efforts and actively participate in strengthening team structures.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representatives of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: No formal education or experience is required. Six (6) months of prior successful employment or related experience is strongly preferred. High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have an insured vehicle and current Alaska driver's license (with no or low points). Must provide copy of driving record, proof of insurance at time of hire. Must be able to comply with the Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson regulations regarding transportation. Must be able to pass a criminal background check under state regulations and able to obtain security clearance to worksite for security requirements.
Desired Skills and Abilities
  1. Experience in grocery stocking.
  2. Previous janitorial experience.
  3. Working knowledge of industry standard stocking and janitorial equipment.
  4. Experience working with individuals who experience disabilities.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
