Quality Control InspectorGeneral:Grant Aviation's goal is to make travel safe, easy, and comfortable. This person will identify when individuals need mentoring and proactively provide mentorship to team members. This position will promote the Company Safety Policy and improve production by reducing errors. The Quality Control Inspectors are responsible for positive customer interactions representing Grant in the communities we serve throughout Alaska. Qualifications:1. Must possess a current A&P certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings and a current Inspection Authorization, FAA Form 8310-5. 2. Be proficient in Safety Risk Management, system analysis, hazard identification, and risk control.3. Must have a proven ability to work with teams and individuals while encouraging communication for the betterment of safety. 4. This role is integral to the success of the maintenance team by providing quality oversight of the maintenance performed, the parts used, and the personnel involved with maintaining Grant aircraft. 5. This person will identify when individuals need mentoring and proactively provide mentorship to team members. 6. This position will promote the Company Safety Policy and improve production by reducing errors.Specific1. Inspection of aircraft, engines, props, appliances, and materials to ensure that each conforms to the requirements of the company maintenance publications and CFRs.2. Observe inspection procedures and results of those inspections (discrepancies) to ensure that the outcomes will provide an airworthy product upon completion.3. Ascertain that practices and procedures used by personnel involved in the maintenance and operation of company aircraft are following the requirements of the company manual and the CFRs.4. Provide real-time training or mentorship to employees when deficiencies are discovered in an individual's workmanship, methods, or decision-making processes.5. Initiate an MX_034 Publication Change Request form when errors or deficiencies are discovered in company-controlled documents and notify the CI of discrepancies in non-company-controlled manuals.6. Perform RII Inspections for which they are appropriately certificated, properly trained, qualified, and authorized.Note: No person will be assigned to inspect the work they have performed, and no person will give or receive on-the-job training for any work they inspect. This includes "mentoring."7. Ascertain that all routine and non-routine worksheets, tags, and reports required for completing a job, or portion thereof, have been completed following the maintenance publications and the CFRs.8. Perform audits pertaining to the requirements of the CASS system.9. Inspect incoming parts to ensure they meet the purchase or repair order requirements, are correctly identified with serviceable tags (as required), and are entered into the inventory control program.10. Assist the Training department by participating in lesson plan development and providing classroom or on-the-job training when needed.11. Perform CASS internal and external audits when assigned.12.
