Receiving Clerk

Our receiving clerks are responsible for all food and beverage products delivered to the rail yard. You act as the crucial link between our vendors and our organization, performing all aspects of warehouse, inventory rotation, product security, and provisioning all while having fun in Anchorage. This team meets the trains as they pass thru town, collecting items off the train or supplying necessary items.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a professional image and relationship with all teammates and vendors.
* Responsible for the daily receiving of food and beverage items brought to the rail division.
* Follow proper receiving protocols regarding damage and temperature
* Receive products and equipment orders off large box trucks via forklift (forklift training is provided.)
* Ensure proper storage and rotation of products in dry storage, coolers, and freezers.
* Food and beverage tasks as needed will include decanting bulk items into smaller containers for the onboard staff, destocking train car kitchens, and assisting in the prep kitchen.
* Facilitate the morning requisition process of gathering needed products for onboard operations.
* Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements
* Some experience in positions involving food and beverage, ordering, receiving, and inventory is normally preferred for this job.
* Must have a valid driver's license (not revoked or suspended) with no more than 2 moving violations.
* Minimum age of 21 is required to receive alcohol.
* Must have or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card.
* Must be able to regularly lift 15-30lbs and frequently move up to 70 lbs .
* Must pass a pre-employment background check.
* Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.

* Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
* Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
* Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
