Job Description

Coordinates activities of personnel engaged in handling materials, equipment, and supplies by performing the following duties.

*This position is located at Big Lake headquarters*

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for loading and unloading materials from transport vehicle and for securing loads in vehicle.
  • Documents defective material issues, shipment discrepancies and non-conformance issues. Relays that information to the Material Coordinator and assists in resolving the issue in a timely manner.
  • Works directly with Vendor warehouses and NANA personnel on a daily basis.
  • Provides accurate documentation, to the Material Coordinator, of all material handled as per established material procedures.
  • Responds to and helps communicate and resolve material issues from the shop personnel.
  • Assist in managing both permanent material and consumables, tools and equipment.
  • Handling, packaging and consolidating freight, including banding, shrink-wrapping, labeling of material.
  • Follow all company, client, safety and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years direcly related material handler experience will be considered.
  • Minimum three (3) years oilfield construction material handler experience required. Experience must include operating a flatbed truck and small forklift in a construction site environment.
  • Intermediate skillset with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 49CFR & ICAO/IATA Haz-Mat Transportation certification preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skillset.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision and interface with a variety of people representing different companies.
  • Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and taste or smell. Steel toed boots required on the job.

Travel may require an employee or contractor to pass a TSA security checkpoint. If the employee or contractor does not have valid identification, they will not be able to travel until valid identification is obtained and verified. For this reason all employees and contractors must have valid identification when traveling to and from the remote site, for a list of TSA approved valid identification visit .
