This position shall assist in the production, setup, and execution of all events at the Alaska Airlines Center (AAC).
To thrive in this position, the successful candidate should have the ability to setup rooms by interpreting diagrams and follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail and last-minute updates or requests. Must be able to competently analyze, prioritize and relay information to make appropriate recommendations for various productions. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the public, colleagues, tour production teams, communications staff, and vendors. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, diligence, dedication, and strong organizational abilities. Flexibility to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years experience working in fast paced live event productions and entertainment preferred.
Prior experience in an arena, stadium, convention center, or like venue is recommended but not required.
1-2 years experience in installation of audio, video, and lighting system infrastructure, including cabling, mounts, truss, and hardware preferred.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Anchorage campus at the Alaska Airlines Center. This is a part-time, non-exempt temporary position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Salary Schedule, Grade 76, based on education and experience.
