Job Description

Responsible for supervision and training of the night warehouse employees. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all warehouse functions including receiving, stocking, loading of trucks, training of employees, discipline and terminations, facility and equipment maintenance, and meeting EBITDA goals. Provides leadership, guidance, and quality assurance to the warehouse team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Works alongside employees using positive motivation to achieve nightly tasks.
  • Understands and utilizes company specific computer systems and software to direct and control workflow.
  • Sets and communicates nightly and weekly goals for employees and monitors results.
  • Accountable for ensuring that the warehouse and assigned personnel meet or exceed operation standards and achieves budget goals.
  • Regular review of KPI standards
  • Budget goals will include both financial and volume goals assigned to best meet the overall goals for the company.
  • Able to gather important facts, make decisions, problem solve, and accept responsibility for decisions made related to this supervisory position.
  • Plans and prepares work schedules and keeps records of employees work schedules, time badges, and utilizes UltiPro.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain case picks per hour and accuracy goals as assigned.
  • Acts as point of contact for assigned warehouse team and direct communication with Night Warehouse Manager.
  • Helps to clean up all warehouse areas worked during shift by sweeping, discarding of trash, and empty boxes prior to end of shift.
  • Participates in weekly, monthly, or annual inventory cycles to count appropriate SKU's.
  • Participates and receives training certificate for proper and safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Collaborate and communicate with Lead and Manager. Daily meetings.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisor experience a plus.
  • Prefer working knowledge of warehousing, forklift and pallet jack operations, pallet building, and inventory procedures.
  • Must have or acquire forklift and pallet jack certification.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

  • This position requires regular and constant lifting/moving/pulling or pushing of 27-55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 170 pounds (full beer kegs).
  • Employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Required that all individuals have complete visual ability to minimize personal and property damage.

Work Environment

  • This position will be performed in Anchorage, AK

  • Varying temperature levels as product may be located in a cooler or on the warehouse floor.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, occasionally high due to multiple forklift horns or outside related environmental noises.
