**SeaView is looking for a Custodian to join our team!**

**SUMMARY:** This position is responsible for performing all custodial duties at the Plaza to provide a sanitary, healthy, and safe work place for staff, clients and tenants.. This position is also responsible for assisting with the building maintenance at SeaViews Plaza, 4-plex and AMHR and helping with maintenance of SeaViews fleet of vehicles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Cleans all SeaView Plaza common areas and SeaView staff-occupied offices. Duties include but not limited to: clean, sanitize lavatories and shower; keep toiletries stocked; dusts, sweeps and sponge mops all tile floors; cleans windows, mirrors, woodwork, walls, window sills, and light fixtures; removes waste basket trash from all offices; vacuums floors/carpets, etc. Shampoo carpets, as needed. Sweep and clean the hallway of the 4-Plex once per month and special project cleaning at 4-Plex and AMHR, as needed. Will generally work 20 to 30 hours per week performing custodial duties.

- Responsible for snow removal with snow blower and shovel, spreading ice melt and sand on sidewalks and building entryways prior to 8 a.m. weekdays and as needed throughout the weekdays and weekends.

- Assists in keeping grounds neat and orderly including but not limited to seed and mow lawns, rake leaves, remove weeds and keep grounds free of debris. May transplant, fertilize, spray with pesticides, prune, cultivate or water flowers, shrubbery, or trees.

- Assists with maintenance work at all SeaView properties.

- Cleans interior of all vehicles once a month.

- Assists with relocating furniture or other heavy items, including requiring a hand truck, setting up furniture and supplies for special events and making runs to the transfer station.

- Must maintain a clean and organized workshop.

OTHER DUTIES:

1. Attend staff meetings and training as required.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

**1. Education:** High school diploma or GED required.

**2. Experience**: 2 years or more in a similar position.

**3. Skills:** Must be punctual. Must possess ability to work independently. Must be able to operate basic construction and carpentry tools, snow blowers, and lawn mowers. Must have computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet. Must have good organizational skills and be able to prioritize duties. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and the general public. Must be professional at all times.

**4. Licensure/Certification**: Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

**5. Other:** TB test, pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, criminal background check and satisfactory driving record.
