**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**

**Safety**

* Exercise stop-work authority when necessary

* Complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments for each job

* Participate in daily toolbox meetings and weekly safety meetings

* Evaluate employee JHAs for each job

* Follow site safety and hazardous communications procedures when performing tasks

* Ensure that personnel are trained for handling on-site hazardous materials through the company's hazardous communications program

**Leadership**

* Schedule and supervise housekeeping activities

* Train new employees

* Ensure that the housekeeping team works together efficiently and professionally

* Check stock levels of products such as paper products, soap, sundries, laundry detergent and replace as necessary

* Maintain inventory of products and PPE and reorder through camp management when necessary

**General Housekeeping**

* Work cooperatively and productively with the housekeeping team

* Follow the appropriate COVID Sanitization Policy

* Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, washing floors, washing walls, and laundering towels and linens

* Clean and sanitize restrooms and showers per applicable Sanitization Policy

* Clean and inspect sleeping tents, offices and common spaces according to applicable Sanitization Policy

* Replace dirty linens and towels with clean items

* Inspect and turn mattresses regularly

* Occasionally assist with cleaning in the core shack, kitchen and vehicles

* Ensure confidentiality and security of personnel tents and cabins

* Check stock levels of products such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, sundries and laundry detergent and replace when appropriate

* Empty and clean trash containers

* Ensure tools and equipment are in good operating order

**Sanitization**

* Ensure proper sanitization product is used for appropriate task

**Communication**

* Report all safety, environmental and security incidents to site management immediately.

**QUALFICATIONS**

**Experience**

* Five years of housekeeping or janitorial work experience preferred, with training in the proper use of cleaning products, equipment and methods preferred

* Supervisory experience preferred

* Previous experience working in remote camps preferred

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

* Ability to work effectively in a team setting

* Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change

* Skill in task training and supervising personnel

* Ability to prioritize tasks and complete daily tasks in a timely manner

* Knowledge of basic cleaning products, tools and techniques

* Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion

* Ability to read and interpret labels, instruction manuals and Safety Data Sheets as well as to record daily notes and shared logs

* Ability to work for long periods in a remote location, with exposure to weather extremes

* Ability to frequently lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs).

* Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
