**Full Time Housekeeper Opportunity - this is a shared location position and will work 3 days in ANCHORAGE and 2 days in PALMER**

North Star Behavioral Health is one of Alaskas premier mental health facilities offering hope and healing for children, teens and adults who struggle with psychiatric or substance abuse issues. We also offer military-specific care to first responders, service members, veterans and dependents at the Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital. The Housekeeper is a key member of the Northstar Behavioral Health Team who is responsible for the day-to-day functions of keeping the facility cleaned and organized. These functions may include cleaning, mopping, buffing and polishing the floor, scrubbing, moving furniture, etc. They are also responsible for the removal and proper disposal of bio-hazardous materials and any other trash

**JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Removes trash and waste from designated areas of the facility.

* Removes and replaces soiled linens from designated patient care areas.

* Maintains facility and furnishings in a clean, orderly fashion.

* Understands the purpose and uses for various chemicals and understands Safety Data Sheets.

* Responsible for proper clean up and disposal of bio-hazardous materials.

* Sets up and takes down rooms for special events.

**Qualifications**

**REQUIREMENTS**

* This position requires knowledge of high school level reading, writing, and arithmetic, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Must be at least 21 years of age
